"GARDEN OF EDEN" CHILDREN'S MISSON PROJECT:
Welcome! This was a NEW Mission Project starting from the ground up!
Please consider making a contribution to this cause as we seek to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of God's People worldwide!!!
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Every 3rd Sabbath of the Month, our offering is designated to help support a feeding center for the multitude of street children in Managua. This program is being funded in part from the disaster Relief Fund of the COG7day. The Women's Association of the General Conference in Nicaragua purchased a home to establish a place where these young people could be fed physically and mentally. The government had also suggested that they would consider a matching grant status once the project is up and running. A generous individual had also donated a building to be used as a church and office facility.
What Are The Children Doing? *In the morning, children are in school and taught to read and write. *11:30 a.m. they have a good lunch. *In the afternoon, they have a worship service and any children who have health or medical problems are tended to by a local doctor. -------- We will strive to have periodic updates, along with pictures on this site to inspire and inform us of the fruits of our labor and encourage us to remain faithful to the "Great Commission."
FEBRUARY 2004: Bill Hicks visited the "Garden of Eden" Mission Project in January of 2004. Look below for pictures and a copy of his report.
